HOW DOES IT WORK?

Laser Genesis is a non-ablative, Nd: YAG 1064nm laser used to treat a wide range of skin conditions. In simple terms, Laser Genesis does not wound the skin like fractional or Co2 lasers. Instead, it works by penetrating the top layer of skin and delivering thousands of micro-pulses of light to the dermis. The technology focuses near-infrared light (NIR) into the middle layer of the skin that is most affected by collagen production. This layer of the dermis is heated to the perfect temperature to induce collagen production. Collagen is the building block of our skins appearance. As we age, we lose collagen. This is what cases our skin to sag, become rough and wrinkle. When collagen production is triggered, the skin begins to heal itself and restore its youthful radiance.

Laser Genesis is an extremely safe and well tolerated procedure. The treatment can be compared to laying in the hot sun and is quite relaxing. There is no downtime with this treatment, making it a popular lunchtime facial.

Many people are surprised to learn that Laser Genesis is also a highly effective treatment for removing toenail fungus. Nail fungus is a common condition that starts as a white or yellow spot under your fingernail or toenail. As the fungal infection progresses, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and crumble at the edge. It can also affect several nails. The other options of treating this concern is often anti-biotics and topical creams. Believe us when we tell you, these are nowhere near as effective and quick as Laser Genesis!

We recommend a series of treatments for optimal results. Most people require at least 3 sessions spread a few weeks apart. Topical creams on the other hand can take over a year. The treatments themselves are well tolerated, while some patients may experience some mild discomfort depending on the severity of the infection.
